VFL Twitch TV Rights - How to Earn Extra Budget for your Team

Yep, you've guessed it, we're going ahead with the fantastic idea that @Dagnaldinho suggested the other day to up our profile as a community and site on Twitch. But how does this benefit you and your club, and how do you take part? Simple really....

This is basically a system that will award your club for games streamed on Twitch. It really is simple as that:

Streaming Higher Tier Games - 500k budget per game
Streaming Lower Tier Games - 250k budget per game

When you stream, set up the title as follows [VFL TEAM A vs. VFL TEAM B - The League You Play In - www.the-vfl.com]

The only "annoying" part you guys need to do is archiving your streams so we can verify that you actually did stream the game. Doing it is simple though, and instructions to do it are:

1 - Log in to your Twitch.tv account

2 - Go to your profile, then go to Settings

3 - Click the Channels and Video tab

4 - TICK the box that says "Automatically archive my broadcasts"

Once you've done that, it's a simple process of setting up a thread in your lounge, and posting links to your archive after every game day. So if you do every game from now, you should have 18 links in this thread by the end of the season. Then, you will have your total multiplied by your end of season finishing position percentage. So, an example, if you finish top in the BPL and have streamed all 18 games as of tonight, that is 18 x 500,000 = £9,000,000, the finishing percentage for 1st place is 50%, so the top team would be awarded £4.5m extra for the new season. Nothing massive, nothing meaningless :)

Since it's a TV rights setting, we're only covering domestic at the minute as I haven't really thought of an idea for cup budgeting as it really does depend upon the team you face.

Lets dominate Twitch boys and girls!
